The first three games of this four game series have all fallen UNDER the number, but I think that the finale sets up as a SLUG-FEST.
Boston has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent as well.
I have no real confidence in either starting pitcher. I think each will get chased early.
The Red Sox go with Martin Perez, who is 7-6 with a 4.16 ERA, while the Yanks go with Domingo German, who is 4-5 with a 4.71 ERA.
Perez gave up three runs over four innings in a 9-1 defeat in the Big Apple last week. He's just 2-4 with a 7.04 ERA in nine career outings against the Yankees.
German has struggled against Boston as well, going 2-2 with a 4.78 ERA in nine career appearances against it.
Considering all of the above information, I think this total is MUCH too low.
