Yovani Gallardo: He's 2-4 with a 5.84 ERA. In his most recent outing Gallardo was shelled for ten runs off nine hits over 13.2 innings in a 16-1 loss to the soft-hitting White Sox on Saturday. Gallardo had been hit or miss previous to that "dud," and note the he's been pretty pedestrian on the road so far by going 1-2 with a 4.43 ERA.
Eduardo Rodriguez: He's 3-1 with a 3.10 ERA. Rodriguez gave up three runs off six hits while walking one and striking out eight over eight innings in a 12-3 rout of the A's on Sunday. It was the southpaws' sixth straight quality start to open 2017 and note that he's been particularly sharp at home this year with a 2.38 ERA.
The bottom line: We like Boston to build off yesterday's 6-2 win over the Rangers and to take full advantage of this favorable matchup. Lay the price with confidence, play on the RED SOX.
