This is going to be an interesting interleague series, but the opening game sets up as a bit of a "duel" in our opinions.
The Red Sox have won eight of their last ten. They've had a day off after going just 1-2 at Toronto earlier in the week. Two of three games against Toronto went OVER the number.
The Cubs just took two of three from Cincinnati at home, including yesterday's 15-7 blowout victory.
Boston hands the ball to Rich Hill (4-4, 4.09 ERA), who went 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA in five starts in June. He's 3-1 with a 2.50 ERA in eight road starts this season as well.
The home side counters with Adrian Sampson (0-0, 1.69 ERA), who conceded two runs, four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision vs. the Cards in his first start of the season last time out.
