I think Maryland gets caught "looking past" its lowly opponent today. Weird actually saying that statement about Louisville, but that's the case here this season.
Maryland is 6-0 and Louisville is 0-6.
Maryland is coming off a 95-79 win over Coppin State. It aerags 82.7 PPG, while allowing 61.3. A few suspect opponents though have skewed these numbers and now hitting the road for their first true road game, I think the Terps come up a bit short tonight in trying to cover this larger spread.
Louisville stinks. It averages just 58.7 PPG, while allowing 72. It's off the 81-62 loss to Cincinnati.
But this larger spread here is now a bit of an over-reaction in y opinion. The public is quick to go against the Cardinals, but I think their streak of "ATS futility" finally comes to an end here.
I'm not predicting an outright upset or anything, but do expect this to be a closer battle than what this line is suggesting.
