We like St. Louis to bounce back after yesterday's 5-1 defeat.
Kenta Maeda: 4-2, 5.08 ERA. He most recently gave up three runs off seven hits over five innings on Thursday, walking two and striking out four in a victory over these very Cardinals last Thursday. Maeda looked decent in his first start back from the DL, but note that he's struggled on the road this year by going 1-1 with a 6.60 ERA.
Michael Wacha: He's 2-2 with a 3.66 ERA. Wacha went six scoreless against San Francisco on Saturday, scattering four hits and striking out five. Wacha has now worked at leats six frames in every outing this year and note that he's been particularly effective at home by going 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA.
The bottom line: Note that LA is just 11-12 (-4.8 units) on the raod this year, while St. Louis is 93-69 (+13.6 units) in its last 162 following a loss. Play on the CARDINALS.
