This is a 10* SLUG-FEST OF THE MONTH on the OVER Jays/Nats.
I'm expecting a classic "slug-fest" in the Nation's capital this evening.
Toronto beat the Rays in Game 1 in Tampa, but then lost the other two. That included a 6-5 defeat in extras yesterday.
The Jays will be happy to see Anibal Sanchez today, as he's only 3-5 with a ballooned 5.82 ERA in 13 career appearances vs. them.
Note that Jays' starter Trent Thornton was all over the map as far as his game to game consistency was concerned last year, finishing an unremarkable 6-9 with a 4.84 ERA (was worse on the road with a 5.12 ERA).
I'm banking on a few balls leaving the yard today and for this total to fly over sooner, rather than later.
